Rhemalize is a sermon streaming and ministry resource app. We collect and use only the information needed to provide account access, audio playback, saved favorites, listening history, notifications, and ministry administration features.
This policy applies to the Rhemalize mobile app and this website. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or stores that may link to or distribute the app.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the app, we may collect the following information:
- Account information, such as your name, email address, profile photo, sign-in provider, and user role.
- Authentication information handled through Firebase Authentication and Google Sign-In when you choose those sign-in methods.
- App activity, such as favorites, playback history, sermon listening progress, search history stored on your device, and basic listen records used to support app features and ministry insights.
- Content and administration data submitted by authorized administrators, such as sermons, series, pastor information, images, and audio files.
- Device and notification information, such as Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens and notification permission status, when notifications are enabled.
- Technical information needed to operate the app, such as crash, diagnostic, network, and security-related data that may be processed by Firebase and platform services.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide sign-in, account access, and role-based app experiences.
- Stream sermons and keep track of playback state, favorites, and listening history.
- Send optional notifications about new sermons or ministry updates.
- Operate administrator tools for managing sermons, series, pastors, users, and app content.
- Protect the app, prevent misuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
- Understand general app usage so we can improve sermon discovery and app quality.
Storage And Security
Rhemalize uses Firebase services, local device storage, and platform services to store app information. Some playback, search, and preference data may be stored on your device. Account, favorites, history, sermon, and administrative data may be stored in Firebase.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
- You can choose whether to sign in with Google or email/password, where available.
- You can enable or disable notifications through your device settings.
- You can remove favorites and clear or limit some local app data by using app controls or device settings.
- You can sign out of the app at any time.
- You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information associated with your account, subject to legal and operational limits.
Children
Rhemalize is intended for a general church audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after a policy update means the updated policy applies.
